The StudyGroup is aiming to get young people (that’s you!) across the world the best out of their time abroad. Whether it is for a full-fledged study, or merely a working holiday experience with some English classes, the StudyGroup can help.
However, we do feel that your time abroad should not only be pleasant and adventurous. You should take something back in the form of knowledge, cultural, or real practical or theoretical knowledge.
That is why all offers of the StudyGroup always contains an educational edge. We do not offer beach holidays, or backpacking adventures on its own. There is always a course in the local language or culture attached to it, however short.
Please feast your eyes on what the various countries have to offer, simply click on the logo of the country which has your interest and look if there is something that tickles your fancy.
We have several options for you to apply for schools and other study abroad options. One is to seek out one of our affiliated schools, you can contact them directly. Some will, after initial contact, refer you back to us. This to help you with the formalities, that has been so arranged between that school and us. However, if you intend to go to one of our affiliated schools, you stand to get some money, or credit back through us. Money or credit you can use while staying abroad, How is that for an incentive?
The second option is to ask us for advice, based on your requirements and wishes. For that we have three packages you can choose, with widening services attached to it. This will cost some money, but it ensures you the full service we can provide.
Check both options out in the Services page, by clicking on the button below.
Language courses are typical no longer than 2 – 8 weeks maximum, although longer would be possible. We offer a variety of languages you can take a course in. English is obvious, but also Japanese, Korean, French and Spanish are available.
Language courses are often combined with tourist or cultural activities organised by the language schools.
Summer schools are mainly for language and cultural immersion where the focus more lies on fun and cultural exchange combined with enhancement in the language of the country where you go to.
Secondary education refers to the stage of education that follows primary education and typically includes middle and high school education and vocational or technical training. Its main focus is to prepare students for further education or for entering college or the workforce.
Students learn various subjects such as English, other languages, science, technology, math, physical education, art, and music.
Several high schools, especially boarding schools, also organise summer programmes, not just for their own students, but also for international students. This way you can get a feel for what education in that country entails.
A Gap Year is typically meant for the age group just leaving high school and up.
A gap year, also known as a sabbatical year, is a period of time when students take a break from their studies, usually after completing high school or before beginning graduate school, engaging in a variety of educational and developmental activities, such as traveling, working, volunteering, or taking courses.
Summer camps/courses
The best international summer camps and courses extend the language-only model and include other options for students to enhance their language and culture studies, such as soccer clinics, surfing, and even SCUBA diving.
The terms college, and university generally refer to postsecondary education or education after high school.
College is a two-year or four-year educational institution. Normally smaller than universities. Colleges offer certificates, associate’s degrees or bachelor’s degrees.
Short term programmes are often offered as part of your home study curriculum, where you earn points towards your home degree, but abroad. Sometimes short courses, offering a certtificate is also possible. Simply enquire after the possibilities.
