Cricket is one of Australia’s most iconic sports, played in backyards, on beaches, and of course, on school ovals across the state. In South Australian government schools, cricket is often part of physical education programs and interschool competitions, giving students the chance to develop skills, enjoy teamwork, and experience a sport that’s deeply woven into Australia’s culture.

So next time you see a game at Adelaide Oval or notice friends playing at the park, why not join in and give cricket a go? You might find yourself enjoying one of Australia’s favourite sports!
